West Nile Virus - What you need to know

If West Nile Virus is not already in your province or state, consider yourself lucky - for now. WNV is expected to spread across North America even further this year. Mosquitoes bite birds, birds fly, birds are bitten by more mosquitoes... the circle of life - virus style. Protect yourself and your family by arming yourself with the facts.

Vaccination Risk Awareness Network
A site with a goal we admire - access to information, especially information you might find difficult to access elsewhere. Don't be afraid to ask questions before you agree to have your child injected - you have a right to all the available facts.

KidsHealth.org
A very easy to navigate, comprehensive site, based in the US but with relevant information for all parents, teens and kids.

Health Canada
Always a reliable source of information although very mainstream. Not for people looking for alternate vaccination references or information!

Study Links Common Plastic to Birth Defects
This is an article about an ingredient in many plastics (bisphenol A) that recent studies have concluded may be dangerous to human health. The earlier the exposure, the greater the negative effects on the developing body. Items made with this chemical include baby bottles, plastic sippy cups and plastic food and beverage containers. Bisphenol A starts to leach out when plastic (containers, bottles, or sippy cups) is visibly cracked or etched.
